Greetings and welcome to the Official website of Deborah Grand Chapter Order of Eastern Star, Inc., Prince Hall Adopted, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania!
On behalf of all the Officers and Members of Deborah Grand Chapter, we are so glad you stopped by!
Our Grand Chapter is rich in history and continues to service our communities and provide relief to others across our Keystone State.
Founded on November 8, 1909, the Hon. James W. Grant, No. 43, the Most Worshipful Grand Master, bestowed the prerogative of Grand Chapter status to the Pennsylvania Order of Eastern Star.
Sister Hattie M. Grant, No. 1 was the first Worthy Grand Matron, Brother Phillip H. Edwards No. 3, was the first Worthy Grand Patron. The Grand Chapter was comprised of five Subordinate Chapters: Esther No. 1, Electa No. 2, Martha No. 3, Jeptha No. 4 and Palestine No. 5. Each of the original five Chapters are still in existence. We are so proud of our Grand Chapter to have survived and thrived all these years to currently have 50 Chapters!
We invite you to click through our website to see all our beautiful officers and what Deborah Grand Chapter is doing across the state of Pennsylvania.
The Sheppard/Morris Administration’s theme is SHINE, Sharing Hope, Inspiration, and Nurturing Excellence. In this, the SHINE administration, we share hope with one another, inspire one another, and nurture one another to EXCELLENCE!
The icon for this administration is the Butterfly. As a symbol of transformation and renewal, butterflies inspire hope and remind us of life’s ever-changing nature.
Our Motto is FAITH: “Through FAITH we are building bridges for the blessings that are making their way.”
May the blessings of God be with us all and SHINE ON!!!
Fraternally,
Kelly J. Sheppard, No. 20
Grand Worthy Matron
Wayne A. Morris, No. 103
